MAFN Call for Facilitators is OPEN!

The MAFN Professional Development Team invites you to submit one or more proposals for the 2026-2027 workshop season, which runs from September 2026 through June 2027.

Proposals are due by midnight, Friday, June 26, 2026.

For 2026-2027, we are inviting proposals to facilitate online 90-min workshops, online multiple-session cohort learning series, and online facilitated networking opportunities.

And we are always open to new innovative and creative options!

Note: We are not seeking proposals for in-person workshops at this time.

Program Descriptions

We invite proposals for one or more of the following types of programs:

Single Workshops (Online)*:

    • Monthly online events will remain free for members. We will consider traditional workshops, Mastermind sessions, panel discussions, and other formats. There are many formats this could take and we welcome creative approaches. For 2026-2027, our online workshops will be scheduled for 90 minutes and will begin at noon Eastern one Friday per month.

* Any facilitator (or two-person team) who presents a single online workshop will be offered a free one-year MAFN membership (new members) or renewal extension (current members).

Multi-Session Cohort Learning Series (Online)**:
    • For the Multi-Session Series, facilitators should design a series of sessions in which each builds on the previous, offering participants an opportunity to explore a topic more deeply.

    • These sessions are recorded and made available only to participants who register for the program. The recordings will not be posted to the MAFN Resource library.

      • Participants pay a single fee to attend all parts of the series.
      • We prefer proposals for 3-part series to be held 3 weeks in a row.
** Any facilitator (or two-person team) who presents a series will be offered a free one-year MAFN membership (new members) or renewal extension (current members).
** Since we know that these longer-term series commitments can be a significant investment of a facilitator’s time, MAFN offers a $200 stipend for facilitators who offer these types of learning cohort options. The stipend is for the team and can be split among team members if more than one facilitator.

Facilitated Networking Opportunities (Online):
  • Our members want more networking opportunities. We invite proposals for facilitated online networking sessions that are fun and energizing and help MAFN members connect with each other and build a stronger community.

Other ideas?

  • If you have other creative session ideas, please propose them! We are open to your creative and innovative ideas for offering new learning, practice, and community-building opportunities for facilitators.

If you would like to propose an alternative format or suggest an event that would help build community among MAFN members, please clearly articulate the value of the alternative format/idea in your workshop description when you submit your proposal.

NOTE: Proposals are due by midnight, June 26, 2026.

Be advised that MAFN events and workshops are NOT speeches or presentations. We are looking for highly engaging, interactive sessions – the kind that motivates participants to pay close attention and stay engaged. Your proposal must explain how you plan to make your session interactive. We encourage you to provide a link to a video that shows you facilitating or presenting a similar presentation so the reviewers can see an example of your facilitation style.

Desired Topics for 2026-2027

We welcome content that covers a wide range of facilitation-related skills, frameworks, techniques, and processes. Our members have expressed interest in sessions on the following topics:

  • Technical tools relating to facilitation
