Title: The Dream Game: Image-Based Play for Transformational Leadership
Description:
The Dream Game gives coaches a tool to help leaders and teams surface tensions, test ideas and explore team dynamics in a low-stakes, play-based environment. Working with images instead of words bypasses the usual debate-and-defend mode of thinking, allowing participants to tap into the part of the brain that is wired to picture new scenarios and see a situation through someone else’s eyes.
Duration: 2:00-3:00 pm EDT
About the workshop:
In this CoP meeting, we will introduce The Dream Game to coaches and play a few levels, so everyone can experience the impact of the game. Each level involves interaction between participants and two artifacts, Image Cards and Task Cards (which will be viewable on Zoom). The play will progress from the simpler “Noticing” and “Describing” levels to the more complex “Embodiment” and “Perspectives” levels. We will also spend a few minutes in conversation about the experience of the game and how coaches could use elements of it with clients.
