Why Black History Month? It’s one thing to create a month-long observance honoring a particular community–it’s another to truly understand and engage in that tribute.
Please join other members of MAFN’s Racial Justice Community of Practice in a lively discussion of Black History Month, the various ways in which we do (or don’t) celebrate this month, and share ideas for how individuals and organizations can engage more deeply in Black History Month.

Please note that this is for MAFN members only and there is limited space, so please register early.

Our guiding principles are:

  • Come open to learning (growth mindset)
  • Not expert led - hosted by peers with space to learn from all
  • Bring your questions, share your expertise
