About the workshop:
Are you able to recognize and manage microaggressions that emerge from participants while facilitating? And how have you mitigated a microaggression that you may have made, one that’s directed at you, or another colleague?
In this workshop, you’ll understand the dynamics of microaggressions, the impact of microaggressions, and learn micro-interventions to address the slights, slips, and slurs before, during, or after facilitation sessions.
In this session, participants will learn:
To state the definition of a microaggression.
To explain the types of microaggressions.
To describe how to recognize a microaggression or microaggressive behaviors.
To share what microinterventions can be used and strategies to respond if you or others make a misstep.
NOTE: This workshop will be recorded for distribution to all who register (breakout rooms will not be recorded).
