Mid-Atlantic Facilitators Network
As a person of color committed to dismantling racism, coach and facilitator Stephanie L. Harris is often asked, "How do I explain to clients the different ways they may approach talking about race?" Harris's approach is rooted in her formal training in positive psychology, which emphasizes the mindset behind the tools of diversity, equity, and inclusion, in addition to social justice training. Join Harris and other MAFN members for an open-ended discussion of sample approaches that facilitators can take to create productive, inclusive conversations.
Harris notes that understanding the history of how we got where we are is key to successful conversations. If you plan to join this workshop, please watch two videos recommended by Harris in preparation for this discussion:
Holy Post - Race in America ~ 18 minutes https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=AGUwcs9qJXY
