A Comparison of Participant Assessment Models and Tools– MAFN Member Cohort
Have you considered becoming a certified facilitator of an assessment tool like MBTI, DISC or Strength Finders? Behavioral assessment tools can help individuals to better understand themselves and each other, and can be a useful mechanism for providing insight into and starting conversations about group interactions. But with so many alternatives available, how do you determine which assessment tool is best for a particular situation? And how can you decide whether a particular tool will be sufficiently valuable in your practice to justify the investment of time and money for certification?
During this interactive workshop, experienced MAFN facilitators who are certified in various assessment tools, will present overviews and lead evaluative discussions exploring the strengths and weaknesses of DISC, Myers Briggs Type Indicator, Strengths Finder , KAI/EQI/CQI, True Colors , and the Drexler Sibbit Team Performance Indicator.
Breakout discussions will explore:
• What each of these tools measure, and does not measure.
• What each of these tools tells you about groups.
• How each tool can be applied for use in facilitated workshops.
Participants will also share their own experiences of what has worked, and what has not worked, during facilitated sessions using each of these and other assessment tools.
