Biography
Michael Randel leads organizations through change and growth. With international experience gained living and working across five continents, his global outlook enables him to see different ways to do things and to bring diverse people together to move forward.

With more than 25 years experience as a facilitator, Michael's experience of working with people from Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas, can be applied in groups across all cultures and organizations, whether meeting in person or virtually. He works to promote shared understanding and commitment to action.

Michael began his facilitation career while working to support positive social change during the transition from apartheid to democracy in South Africa. After working with clients from more than a dozen countries around Africa, he joined the World Bank in Washington DC as a facilitator of global programmes. Michael founded Randel Consulting Associates in 2006 and works with groups and organisations at local, national and global levels to increase their effectiveness and impact.

Michael's Master's degree is in Social and Organizational Learning (George Mason University), and has published a variety of handbooks and articles. Michael presents both face-to-face and online workshops for the Mid Atlantic Facilitator's Network (MAFN) and is a repeat presenter at the regional Organization Development Network conference in Washington DC.

Michael is a member of the IAF, a Certified Professional Facilitator and is a former two-time chair of the Board of the Mid Atlantic Facilitator's Network (MAFN). Michael has received the Facilitation Impact Award from the IAF for the positive impact his facilitation work has made to his clients on four occasions. His most recent was the Platinum Award in 2021, one of only three world-wide .
