A one-day session that serves both seasoned facilitators and relative newcomers and includes both skill building and a review of tools and processes. This is a workshop experience and not a seminar.

Duration: 9:30-4:30 PM (7 hours including breaks and a lunch-on-your-own break)

There is a Hybrid-only option for the morning portion of the workshop.  Zoom details will follow.  The price is $50 for online only.

About the workshop

This is a two part session. 

Part 1 - This session will equip you with a clear understanding of the three reasons people disagree and provide you five techniques for getting to yes when disagreements occur.

Part 2 -  In this session, you will have a chance to experience ten different strategies for maximizing engagement in your facilitated sessions.

Lunch is on your own.  Many easy options are available in the Food Court on the 1st floor of the building.

In-person participants are invited to join us for snacks and networking after the workshop ends.

Speaker:

Michael Wilkinson is a Certified Master Facilitator™ and the CEO and Managing Director of Leadership Strategies, Inc. His unique talent, skills and passion for facilitation form the core of the company’s mission and are the reasons for which he is much sought after as a facilitator, trainer and speaker. Michael is author of best-seller The Secrets of Facilitation, The Secrets to Masterful Meetings, The Executive Guide to Facilitating Strategy, CLICK: The Virtual Meetings Book, Buying Styles, The 8 Core Practices of Facilitative Leaders. Michael is one of the nation’s leaders in the facilitation industry. He is a board member of the International Institute for Facilitation and founder of The Facilitator Database.

He has been awarded both the Certified Professional Facilitator™ and the Certified Master Facilitator™ designations for experience and demonstrated expertise in facilitation. In 2003 he was named Facilitator of the Year by the Southeast Association of Facilitators for contributions to the field.

Active in both the private and public sectors, he has provided leadership training and strategy development assistance to such diverse organizations as The Coca-Cola Company, Unisys, EPA, CDC, KPMG Peat Marwick, and the American Cancer Society.  He has facilitated more than 200 strategy sessions for major corporations, large government agencies, and a variety of non-profit organizations.
