Visual tools are a powerful way to access the non-verbal knowledge of individuals and groups.  In this highly interactive workshop you will learn how to draw out hidden and unspoken thoughts through the use of numerous tools.  No artistic skills required!

Learn how to use and evaluate visual templates from a neuro-cognitive perspective, where to find tools for visual practice, and practice some sticky note game-storming. Extra bonus: quick tips to bump up your scribing skills!

Participants will learn:
  • How to evaluate pre-drawn commercially available visual templates and choose templates that support meeting intentions.
  • How to plan/design a meeting that incorporates visual tools.
  • The difference between graphic recording and graphic facilitation.
  • Vocabulary to use when hiring a visual practitioner to either graphic record or design a visual template.
  • Several techniques to emphasize scribed information, including how to use charter markers, use of bullets and color.
  • Become aware of the visual aspect of the meeting environment and how that can affect meeting outcomes.
  • Develop some awareness of the neuro-cognitive reasons that visual tools enhance meetings.
