About the workshop

What’s the right way to run a hybrid event? There’s no right answer - but there is a right set of questions to consider before planning your meeting! Join us (either in-person or online) for a lively learning lab focused on best practices for planning and executing hybrid meetings; dealing with the unexpected; and supporting equity and inclusion in a hybrid environment. You’ll benefit from the combined wisdom of MAFN members, and learn who to call on when clients need more hybrid expertise than you’ve got in your back pocket.

Yes, you read that right! We are wrapping up this season’s workshops by hosting a hybrid meeting about planning and running hybrid meetings!

We’ll end with a brief look at MAFN’s new strategic plan and our annual report. Plus, you'll get a sneak peek at a new approach for workshops and learning opportunities coming in our 2023-2024 season!

Post-Workshop networking options

  • We expect to have two networking options after the workshop!
  • In-person participants are invited to join us for networking at a nearby restaurant.
  • Online participants will have a virtual social networking option online.
  • More details will be coming for the networking options.

COVID Protocols for in-person attendance:

  • We ask that each person attending in-person be vaccinated against the COVID-19 virus.
  • Participants are asked to stay home if they have any COVID-19 symptoms, including fever, cough, breathing issues, or gastrointestinal issues.
  • Please also stay home if you have been diagnosed with COVID-19, or any variant thereof, or if you have had direct contact with an individual diagnosed with or suspected to have COVID-19 in the past 7 days.

Learning Objectives

In this session, participants will:

  • Learn a framework you can use immediately for planning your own hybrid events
  • Share experiences and ideas with other participants about how to deal with the unexpected
  • Find out who in your MAFN community has experience with hybrid events in case you need advice or support for your own future workshops
