About the session...

A great workshop or webinar and a fabulous facilitator can quickly be undermined by bad presentation slides. In this session, you will learn how to create (or fix) the slides that support your webinar or workshop so that the participants stay interested and involved and, most importantly, remember more of your content when they leave the session. We will cover 6 problem areas and their fixes, based on real examples. You have taken the time to develop great content – your slides should be just as great.

Objectives

Participants will:

  • Learn to recognize the 6 most common mistakes in slide design
  • Understand why the mistakes prevent participants from truly retaining the information presented
  • Increase proficiency in designing slides that increase understanding and retention

About the Presenter

Heather Archer launched her training company, Training de Jour, after many years of waiting and preparing. Prior to launch, she worked as an in-house Training Specialist for over 25 years in a variety of corporate settings. She has developed and presented training on a wide range of applications, from Microsoft Suite to custom, proprietary products. She is a Master Trainer through the Association of Talent Development (ATD) as well as currently holding MCT and MOS Master Certifications. Heather presents training with an eye to adapting technical and/or complex training to an ever-changing environment to support change management best practices. She also enjoys, for some reason, working with the cranky and “challenging” participants.
