About the session...
One challenging comment can throw off the whole energy of your meeting if you don't know what to do about it. This webinar will train you to use a simple conflict resolution technique, reframing, that acknowledges the needs of the person who expressed it WITHOUT sacrificing the flow and mood of your meeting. Change a hostile comment into a helpful one with this skill in your facilitator tool-belt.

Objectives
  1. Identify what makes challenging comments an obstacle to a successful meeting.
  2. Learn a reframing technique that highlights feelings and needs but transforms the tone from destructive to constructive.
  3. Practice the technique so facilitators feel comfortable using it in their work.
Competencies
Demonstrate effective participatory and interpersonal communication skills, honor and recognize diversity, ensure inclusiveness, manage group conflict, evoke group creativity, maintain a base of knowledge, trust group potential and model neutrality
