Remember a time when all your senses were drawn into a group interaction? You could hear the intake of breath in a moment of surprise. You scratched doodles to move you towards shared meaning. You could smell the anxiety in the room (or that OLD coffee!). Why do we often exclude consideration the possibility of more fully engaging our senses when we are together synchronously online? What happens when we do?
Join us for a fully experimental gathering to push our perceptions (and comfort levels) with messing with different modalities online. Explore the use of sound, visuals and different expressions of body language, touch, kinesthetics and yes, even smell. You will be sent a few materials/prompts prior to the online gathering that will be part of your experience. Don't expect certainty. Prepare to be surprised. Prepare to create surprise!
