Six Thinking Hats is a problem solving tool and idea generator that uses a method called Parallel Thinking.  The measurable results from utilizing this method of include:

  • shorter meetings
  • thorough decisions
  • reduced conflict
  • easier priority setting
  • fluid problem solving
  • increased participation and involvement
  • effective problem definition and resolution

Studies have shown that individuals and teams trained in the Six Hats method experience a five-fold increase in the quantity and quality of their thinking and reduce meeting times by fifty percent.

Come learn how to think differently and be more productive when tasked with making group decisions.


This is an interactive workshop.  Be prepared to participate! Participants will:

  • Learn the basics of parallel thinking and its advantages over traditional thinking
  • Experience a Lateral Thinking Tool designed to spark creative problem solving
  • Connect with other participants in small groups

Leslie S. Schreiber, M. Ed.

For the past 20 years, Leslie has facilitated for and led clients ranging from Harvard Business School to Seventh Generation. She strives to help leaders create cultures that encourage conflict resolution and effective feedback. Her background in outdoor education inform her agility when meeting client needs. Expect the unexpected!

Leslie is a graduate of the Organizational Consulting and Change Leadership program at Georgetown. She is also an executive coach and has been a Six Thinking Hats trainer for 7 years. She loves most anything with cheese or chocolate in the ingredients as they dramatically increase her communication skills.


If you pay for an individual MAFN workshop session and cancel before the registration deadline, MAFN will either credit your full registration fee towards a future workshop or process a refund, less a processing fee.


There will be no refunds or credits for cancellations received after the registration deadline.


Refunds, less a processing fee, are only available for workshop series subscribers until the September workshop of each year.
