Great Opportunity to Serve on MAFN's Board of Directors

Become a Nominee!

Please consider serving on the MAFN Board of Directors!

All members are invited to nominate or self-nominate a member for election to MAFN’s Board of Directors for a two-year term beginning July 2023.

The MAFN Board of Directors provides a unique opportunity to advance facilitation in the DC region and beyond, simultaneously grow your skills, and build your network.

Four Board seats are up for election (Vice Chair, Treasurer, and two Director-At-Large positions). Board members serve for two-year terms and meet monthly via teleconference. In recognition of their service, Board members can attend any regular MAFN program for free.

If you would like to nominate yourself or would like to nominate a colleague for a board position (with their concurrence of course), then please send the following information to MAFN Board of Directors member and 2023 election coordinator Douglas Black, CPF at no later than 6:00 PM ET on Friday, May 26, 2023:

  • Your name, address, email, and phone number
  • A head shot photo
  • Board seat you would like to run for (Vice Chair, Treasurer, or one of the two At-Large positions)
  • A brief essay (2 paragraphs at most) describing your ideas about how you would move MAFN forward. Please detail the contributions you could make, why you are a fit for the board, and how your skills will help MAFN succeed.

This information will be provided to the membership during the election process. Voting will occur from May 31 to June 12, 2023, via online ballot. The new Board term will begin at the July Board of Directors meeting. Please consider advancing your career and serving your fellow MAFN cohorts.
