Board Nominations for 2018-2020

Great Opportunity to Serve on MAFN's Board of Directors - Become a Nominee!

All members are invited to stand for election to MAFN’s Board of Directors. Serving on the MAFN Board provides a unique opportunity to advance facilitation in the DC region and beyond, grow your skills, and build your network.

MAFN has experienced rapid growth in the past few years, and continues to develop new ways serve its members. With a healthy educational program and stable resources, our organization is poised for even greater things!

There are currently five (5) vacancies open on the Board. There are three (3) Executive Officer positions (Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, and Secretary) and two Director-at-Large positions are up for election in June. You may only self-nominate for one position.

Board members serve for two-year terms and make key decisions about the direction of the organization. The Board meets 2-3 times a year in person and via teleconference for the remainder of the meetings. In recognition of their service, each Board member receives a complementary DC Workshop series registration.

If you are interested in being considered for nomination, or would like to propose a colleague for the position, please send the following information to Nominations Committee chair Dr. Gary Boettcher at gary@conflictcounts.com no later than May 28th at 5:00 pm.

  • Your name, address, email and phone
  • A head shot photo
  • A brief essay/bio describing your ideas for how you would move MAFN forward. Please detail the contributions you could make and how your skills will help MAFN succeed.

Elections will be held by secret online ballot in the first two weeks of June 2018, and the new Board terms will begin at the June board meeting.
