MAFN’s signature DC Facilitators Workshop Series consists of 10 interactive three-hour sessions on various topics related to the practice and business of facilitation. Offering an excellent opportunity for continued education and skills development, the series encompasses a wide variety of topics, and supports the profession’s core competencies as outlined by the International Association of Facilitators.
Participants in the workshops range from novices to the most experienced practitioners, and includes small business owners, corporate facilitators, government employees, and management consultants who use facilitation in their jobs.

Registration closes the Tuesday before the Friday workshop, to allow time for building access procedures with our host. ScheduleDoors open at 8:15 am for check-in, breakfast, catching up with friends, and networking.Workshops start at 9:00 am and end at 12:00 noon. Location and Security RequirementsAll MAFN workshops take place at the Government Accountability Office (GAO), 441 G St, NW, Washington, DC, in room 7N36, classroom 9. Because these workshops are held in a government facility, advanced registration and a valid government-issued photo identification (e.g., drivers license or passport) are required for entry. IMPORTANT: The deadline for registration is Midnight EST on the Tuesday before each workshop. As this is a Federal facility, you MUST be on the access list to get in the door. Walk-in registration is not allowed and we do not have authority to make exceptions. We apologize for any inconvenience. If you are not a US Citizen, please register at least two weeks prior to the workshop; Federal security rules impose additional security rules for non-US citizens, and additional processing time may be needed to add foreign nationals to the access list. | Cancellation Policy
If you pay for an individual MAFN workshop session and contact info@mafn.org to cancel before the registration deadline, MAFN will either credit the full registration fee towards a future workshop or process a refund, less a processing fee of $10. No refunds after registration deadline has passed. If you pay for a MAFN workshop series and contact info@mafn.org to cancel before the date of the October workshop, MAFN will process a refund, less a processing fee of $10 and fees for any workshops already attended.
