Laura is committed to organization transformation through improving processes, systems and relationships with a solid work ethic and "infectious enthusiasm”. Her style of facilitating and coaching is results-focused, co-creative and authentic, working within a strength-based paradigm. Her work focuses on raising awareness and taking action at the levels of individual, group and organization to inspire learning, growth and change. She adapts her role as a process consultant, team coach, individual coach, facilitator or trainer, based on what is needed in each situation.
In addition to coaching leaders, Laura has designed and facilitated a variety of half-day to multi-day events to accomplish client’s desired results. These include, but are not limited to: set and accomplish goals, develop strategic plans, create team charters, generate decision making processes, explore leadership abilities, clarify roles and responsibilities, increase skills in managing conflict and communicating in difficult conversations, and improving processes to create a positive shift in productivity and effectiveness. She has facilitated virtual meetings using online tools.
Laura has over 20 years of experience in change management, project management, and staff management. She demonstrates a rare combination of exceptional leadership, process, technical and relationship skills, culminating with a focus on organizational transformation. With a previous career in information technology, she worked in the insurance and telecommunications industries, as well as several government agencies.
Located in the Washington, DC area, she has worked in corporate, government, and non-profit environments. Some of her clients include: American Society of Clinical Oncology, GEICO, General Physics Corporation, Montgomery Housing Partnership, National Science Foundation, Pharmaceutical Product Development, Society of State Directors of Health, Physical Education and Recreation and TIG Global. Laura is an adjunct professor at Marymount University in the School of Business Administration.
