Activities
in Facilitation and Organization Development
When have you ever had enough, or just the right, group activities? Never! Wouldn't it be nice to be working with a group anywhere in the world and have all your exercises available to you. Submit your exercises they will be, along with a lot of others. Please take a few minutes to send them in?
The format for Activities is simple and follows that of facilitation techniques. We have attached the Activity Technique format in an MS Word document for you to use. Email your activities to Wayne Vick for quick submission. Those not using the format may take some time to be added.

Icebreakers are introductory activities that engage the group in revealing information about themselves as a way to get to know each other.

2 Truths & 1 Lie is an opening activity where the individual introduces themselves with three facts, one of which is a lie. Others have to guess the lie. |

Categories is a fun opening activity where the group breaks into smaller groups based on categories they are given. |
|
Current Event Shop is an opening activity where the group reads and shares newspaper stories relating each to the event. |
|
Name Game is an opening activity where individuals make fun of their own name by creating a new name for themselves from a list. |
|
Networking Bingo is fun opening activity where individuals meet each other trying to learn about each other. |
|
What Color is Your Stress is an opening activity that explores the impact of stress in our lives. |
Warm-Ups are activities used to engage a group and prepare them to get to work. Warm-Ups may also be an Energizer however they always relate to the work the group will be engaged in.

All My Neighbors is a fun energizer that gets the group up and moving.It is similar to musical chairs, but grown up. |

A to Z Activity is a creative review activity used with a group to review a course, workshop, or the results of an event. |

BARNGA is a fun card game that explores intercultural relations in a diverse group. |

Criminal Activity is a fun card game activity that can be used around body language and non-verbal communications or as an energizer. |

Gordian Knot is a fun activity that promotes team-based problem solving and communications. |
|
Have You Ever? is a fun Ice Breaker/Warm-Up/Energizer activity in which a group explores and celebrates their experiences as individuals. |

Jeopardy Review is a light-hearted, competitive, game used for highlighting and reviewing key training concepts and terms. |

Tower Building is a fun activity in which small groups compete to design and build the tallest tower. Great for Teambuilding and learning about each other especially when used with an group related instrument like DiSC, CARE, or MBTI. |
Energizers are activities that may, or may not, be focused on the work being done by the group. Their purpose is to build the group's energy for the next segment of work.

Match the Description is a fun activity where individuals try to match words to their strange description. |

Murder is a highly interactive card game that is played while small groups are working on a project at their tables. |

Team Juggle is a fun and intense process based activity with an increasing level of complexity. |

Team Rap is a fun team-building activity where the group creates and performs a rap song relating to the event. |
