Founder and owner of Creative Facilitating, an organization development practice, Ms. Trygstad brings the perspectives of the public, private and education sectors to her work. Ms. Trygstad facilitates meetings, workshops and retreats. The foundational principles of her work are fostering a safe and open environment, building on strengths, supporting the creation of connections among people and with the future they can create together, sharing knowledge and growing expertise, finding the creativity in differences, and building capacity for sustainability in a changing environment.  

Ms. Trygstad facilitated a focus group meeting for the Points of Light foundation. She facilitates Leadership and Conflict Resolution workshops. She regularly facilitates team building in an outdoor experiential learning setting. Ms. Trygstad has also guided change processes, coached teams into real effectiveness, consulted with a small non-profit on knowledge sharing, and a café on change, and consulted with an educational institution in planning change.

Kate Trygstad was an operations manager and a leader in her career with the Federal government, coaching staff, designing improved business processes, opening communications between organizational units, and facilitating many meetings and development opportunities. Her career in private sector contracting focused on managing government business process outsourcing contracts and also included training facilitation and training coordination. Current professional affiliations include the Organizational Development Network, Chesapeake Bay OD Network leadership team, George Mason University Alumni Association, School of Public Policy Chapter, past president.
