MAFN is a non-profit regional professional development and business network, 501c6, supporting business facilitators in the Mid-Atlantic States of the Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia. We have an incredibly rich membership with people that have discovered the wonders of group facilitation and facilitators that have discovered the wonders of people working collaboratively together.

Our Mission is to help group facilitators:

  • by educating people and organizations to the value professional facilitation brings to all groups

  • by identifying, sharing, and resourcing projects for and among our members

We are a regional network centered in Washington, DC however, we have a national reach. Because of this, facilitators from across the USA have joined our network.

Our membership is extremely diverse. Members belong to small businesses, large corporations, government, and non profits. They are new to facilitation, do facilitation as a collateral duty or simply as a means to improve their meetings.

They are professional facilitators, OD and Management Consultants, trainers, mediators, coaches, and dispute resolution professionals. One doesn't have to be a "professional facilitator" to gain value and benefit from learning the methods and developing their skills in group facilitation. Many people come to MAFN because they want to create meaningful change in their life and facilitation resonates with who they want to be.
