Purpose of this session: To review the evolution of the presidency through a series of events and how selected presidents incorporate facilitating skills and how the art of facilitation was applied.

  • KEY CONCEPT: The art of facilitation requires a control of the dynamics and the focal point for exchange of thought
  • KEY CONCEPT: The art of facilitation must support a atmosphere of open reason and discussion with the ultimate objective of solving the issues not perpetuating the problem
  • KEY CONCEPT: The art of facilitation requires the ability to handle the fluctuating commitment to the process ( paying attention/staying engaged)
  • Key Concept - THE GIFT OF SILENCE
  • KEY CONCEPT: The art of facilitation can only be as powerful as the time when it is properly used

Has been a facilitator for over twenty years supporting the military and corporations in subject matters to include client interaction, business process, six sigma protocols, and leadership training. He served in the military as a Marine Officer and ascended to leadership positions in corporations such as Abbot Laboratories and General Electric. His years of facilitating and management experience, combined with his extensive research of the executive branch, compliments his style and unique approach in presenting the essential foundations of succeeding in the art of facilitation with a presidential theme.Steve Emerson
