Warren Bennis, renowned leadership pioneer, author and researcher, said: “In the fields I have studied, emotional intelligence is much more powerful than IQ in determining who emerges as a leader. IQ is a threshold competence. You need it, but it doesn't make you a star. Emotional Intelligence can.” Effective facilitators develop a range of emotional intelligence competencies, can assess situations intuitively, make sound choices about what is most needed by individuals and the group in a multitude of situations, and then deliver. Discover how you can leverage emotional awareness as a powerful tool for improving your interactions in facilitation and beyond.
In this interactive, high-energy workshop, you will learn to:
Define Emotional Intelligence
Distinguish the four key emotional intelligence skills
Identify ways you can benefit from increased emotional intelligence
Discuss strategies to improve your emotional intelligence skills and ratchet up your facilitation effectiveness
