Experience

Dan is a former US Navy Captain with over 25 years of leadership, management, and group facilitation training and experience, serving as a Leadership Course Facilitator, Director of Training and Operations, and Head of the Navy’s two largest leadership schools. His training/experience includes various Leadership/Management Courses/seminars, including Lean Six Sigma, Systems Approach to Process Improvement, Methods for Managing Quality, Covey, Center for Creative Leadership, Center for Leadership Studies, Situational Leadership, and the University of Chicago Leadership Seminar. He facilitated and developed the curriculum for Navy Officer Leadership and Total Quality Management courses.

He has facilitated groups at all levels, from project teams to the Executive Steering Council. He served as the Navy Surgeon General’s Medical Service Corps Education and Training Management Specialty Leader from 2001 to 2004. He is an American Academy of Medical Administrators Fellow, Diplomate, and Credentialed Medical Administrator. Fellow and Past President, American College of Contingency Planners. He is a certified ISO 9001/2000 Lead Auditor and led his organization toward first-time ISO 9001/2000 certification.
